Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Forecast Philippines is built to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible

[LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is the personal information controller for this service. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at [DPO EMAIL].

What we collect

What we deliberately do not do

A note on political information

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, information about a person's political affiliation is sensitive personal information and carries stronger protection. A forecast about how someone else will vote is a prediction, not a statement of your own politics — but the two sit close together, so we treat your forecasts with that higher standard: they are private to you, they are never published against your real identity, and they are not disclosed to third parties.

Legal basis

We process your information on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and choose a handle, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

How long we keep it

Your account and forecasts are kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, picks, and notifications are deleted with it. Aggregate counts that cannot identify you — for example the total number of people who predicted a given outcome — remain, because they contain no personal information.

Where it is stored

Data is held in a managed database operated by Supabase and served through Vercel, with servers in Singapore. Transfers outside the Philippines are covered by the contractual protections those providers offer.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access what we hold, to correct it, to object to processing, to have it erased or blocked, to data portability, and to damages for a violation. To exercise any of these, contact [DPO EMAIL].

You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
